  • Welcome to our New Teacher Online Training course.  In this course, you will participate in online forums and be asked to complete a variety of assignments.  You will study various topics that are designed to help you be a successful teacher in your classroom. Visit this site weekly and be sure to submit all assignments by the due date.
  • Welcome to year 2 & 3 of the Winchendon Public Schools' New Teacher Induction Program. Within this venue, we will reflect on last year's practice and develop goals for advancing our instructional practice toward continuous professional growth. Each teacher will develop a portfolio with artifacts to document how they have addressed their professional goals for the 2011-12 school year.
  • The mentoring course is a 36 hour course in Mentor Skill training for Winchendon teachers with over five years experience, a communication style that adapts to individual differences and has a commitment to constant learning about improving teachers’ instructional practice.  This course builds skill in observing, analyzing, diagnosing and being articulate about skillful teaching.  It is expected that mentors will attend the one day New Teacher Induction training with their assigned new teacher prior to the start of the school year, commit to weekly mentor-new teacher meetings which can be applied flexibly, demonstrate lessons or management techniques and will link beginning teachers with other resource people within the school and district.

    This is a required course at Murdock Middle High School. Through this project based course you will learn and apply various aspects of Microsoft Office 2007, learn Internet search techniques and how to do meaningful research.

In other words a math course that connects the world's most famous art treasure and one of the Seven Wonders of the Wordl. This course is not all ancient history. Before completion, the course covers tessellations and fractals, including making your own. Along the way many topics in geometry will be explored.
