The math skills that will be covered are adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing of fractions and decimal numbers. In addition, other math components will include percentages, systems of measurements and conversions between systems of measure (metric, apothecary and household). At the conclusion of this course, students will then apply these skills to drug dosage calculations.

This course is designed to give the student a basic understanding of the science of nutrition, its relationahip to the human body and nutritional needs of various age groups. Students will also identify agencies concerned with nutrition and will have an overview of therapeutic diets.
